PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The KTECH® Vision

Our vision is to establish and sustain a pipeline between industry and a certified employment pool.

The KTECH® Mission

Our mission is to provide specialized workforce training and credentialing for high demand occupations to a targeted, under-served population thereby addressing the following three areas: industry’s need for skilled workers, community’s need for increased employment rates and the individual’s need to be a productive, contributing member of society.

The KTECH® Training

KTECH is a licensed private school under the Alabama Community College System.

KTECH offers training leading to credentials in soldering and robotics. These certifications are available through our Certificate track. Students can select to Level Up with all of our certifications or select the ones that interest them the most.

The KTECH soldering course comprises 56 hours featuring minimal classroom instruction and intensive hands-on practice. Successful students can choose to sit for the 40-hour IPC J-STD-001 Certified Application Specialist credential, taught by our own Certified IPC Trainer. Our industrial robotics program comprises 48 hours of instruction and hands-on practice leading to Yaskawa Academy credentials in FS100 Operation and FS100 Basic Programming with Material Handling.

Critical Issues Facing Alabama’s Manufacturing Sector
