Camp KTECH coming this summer!

Updated: Mar 29, 2022

KTECH is offering a different kind of summer camp this year for high school students who are interested in looking toward the future.

This June, Camp KTECH and Camp KTECH VR will let rising seniors explore high-tech careers in camps that condense the KTECH experience into a week of informative and fun activities.

Camp KTECH will feature hands-on projects and interactive learning that let students learn from experts in mechanics and electronics. Camp will also include field trips to workplaces where knowledge of those skills is in high demand.

At Camp KTECH VR, students who are interested in creating virtual worlds will get the chance to learn the basics of designing a game in virtual reality, including making a lightsaber. They also will learn the basics of project management as they go.

“These camps will be fun, but they also will be challenging and educational,” said KTECH Recruitment Specialist Robin Dauma. “Campers will be learning about career paths they can take that could lead them to high-paying jobs.”

Registration for Camp KTECH or Camp KTECH VR is $200 and includes lunches, supplies and a camp T-shirt. Limited scholarships are available.

Camp KTECH runs June 6-10; Camp KTECH VR is June 13-17.

Since 2016, KTECH has produced 261 certifications in Mechatronics, Robotics, Solid Edge, and Soldering. KTECH’s VR Academy opens to the public this fall. For more information about Camp KTECH and KTECH’s classes, visit goktech.org.
