KTECH VR Academy Expands to Madison County High School

KTECH VR Academy is now underway at Madison County High School for the 2025–2026 school year, marking a major expansion that triples the program’s reach across North Alabama. This two-semester, college-level course gives students an exciting, hands-on introduction to virtual reality, programming, and 3D modeling—opening doors to future careers in computer science and emerging VR technologies.

The course is being delivered through a partnership between the Madison County School System and KTECH, part of the Kids to Love Foundation in Madison, Alabama. Designed to mirror real-world applications, the program engages students in project-based learning that combines technical skill-building with collaboration and creativity.

KTECH first launched its VR Academy program in 2022, and it has since become an approved engineering class credit in Madison City Schools. The credits students earn through the course can also be applied toward a degree in computer engineering systems at several colleges, giving participants a head start on their higher education journey.

This expansion reflects Kids to Love’s ongoing mission to create meaningful career pathways that empower young people to build brighter futures. Collins Aerospace served as an integral support partner in helping make this growth possible, underscoring the importance of collaboration between education and industry to prepare the next generation of technology innovators.
